Sho'Nuff Comics
Great comic shop
“I'll start this off by saying that I'm a very avid Amazon buyer. Generally if I'm looking to buy something, whether it be books, games, or comics I check Amazon first because most of the time they will have some of the best deals. So it's very rare that I pay full sticker price for a comic or book.Sho Nuff Comics is the exception to that. The customer service is great, every time I've went in the store I've been greeted and asked if there was anything I needed help finding. They are very knowledgeable about comics and graphic novels, and have yet to fail to answer any questions I've had pertaining to comic backgrounds, where to start a series, etc. It's because of all this I always end up buying something when I visit. Now I will say that if your more in to collecting toys, figures, or statues the selection isn't as big as what you might be looking for. Could I find a lot of their selection on Amazon $5 or $6 cheaper? Yes. And will I continue to shop and buy comics on Amazon? Of course. But that wont stop me from supporting my local comic shop and spending my hard earned cash on the things I love, because the great customer services and convenience makes it worth the extra $5 or $6. ” -

Bob's Comics
One of my Favorites
“Bob's Comics is a great shop. It has around 120 long boxes of back issues. It's easily shopped, and the comics are all bagged and boarded. I always find something I'm looking for when I drop in.” -

Legion
Not for me
“Legion is the absolute worst comic shop that I have ever been to. The aisles are two feet wide, and I am not exaggerating. There is no room to move. There is usually a crowd of people in the store as well. And to top it off, it smells pretty bad inside.\n\nTheir comics are packed into short boxes so tight that you usually have to pull ten or so out to be able to flip through the box. The short boxes are on metal shelving that is stacked up to about eight feet tall. You can't even see into the boxes on the top shelves to check what titles are in them. To shop them, you have to pull down a box that weighs around twenty pounds. About 80% of the back issues aren't boarded either, and the store charges extra for boards.\n\nNone of the comics are priced. When you go to check out, they look up the prices in the Overstreet or online. Not all of the staff can grade a comic accurately. I personally have had a clerk quote a gem mint price for a comic that had tears on the cover. I know exactly how much the comic was worth, because I have the same Overstreet that the clerk was using.\n\nThe store itself is about as cluttered as I have ever seen a place of business. There are stacks of comic boxes, magic card boxes, stock boxes, and other general items that are over head-height. You can't even see into their statue display case for all of the stuff piled up in front of it. I honestly believe that the store is a fire hazard.\n\nIn the past I have only gone to Legion as a last resort. After the pricing incident I mentioned earlier, I will never go again.”
